At Brize Norton Primary School, we teach British values implicitly through everything we do, ensuring that staff, visitors and children treat each other with respect, that rules are followed and that everyone's views are valued (such as through our School Council, Parent Council and regular pupil and parent questionnaires).
Within the curriculum, British values are particularly reinforced in PSHE lessons, though they also come up elsewhere, for example when studying how our country and the European Union are governed in Geography lessons, and in showing respect for others' beliefs in Religious Education. In our French and Japanese lessons and through our International Education work, we learn to compare our country with others whilst respecting people from around the world.
Assemblies have a strong focus on values, with a different value for each term.
We also have close links with the police, fire service and school nursing service, who help reinforce British values and the rule of law.
