After a morning in the classroom talking about mottos and our time at Brize Norton Primary, it was so nice to be outdoors with Year 6 this afternoon making memories. It is unbelievable to think that this bunch will soon be off to Secondary school - so it was an honour to have some of the children request ‘one last forest school’ before they go😊
It was all quite last minute and, although the children were given some inspiration, many of them chose to take our ideas and run with their own. We had some amazing Hapazome pencil cases and tote bags made - but it was also a perfect opportunity to have friends sign their creations.
Of course, we told the children at the start that, if they wanted to do anything that we hadn’t mentioned, then just say; so, several snails were made - alongside a spear!!
Drumming, pond dipping, posing with froglets, bug hunting, fire lighting and den building were also super popular. I just love that some of these kids were just mere 4 year olds when they first came out to us - and yet, here they are today, still loving being at forest school; working together, hanging out, playing and creating. 💚
