We began this morning thinking about where our foods come from, which we get from plants and which from animals. We looked at foods produced in UK and talked about seasonality. We then went out to the garden to look at the apples growing on the trees. 

Children tasted a range of seasonal fruits gathered locally and we made a basic sponge, crumble and pastry mix for everyone to try. 

This afternoon children planned the dessert they would like to make using the fruits available. Tomorrow we shall be cooking and tasting them.
