To inspire us in our science investigations Hurricanes were visited by George's dad, who is training to be a science teacher, to share some demonstrations.
He began by showing us how clouds form, in a jar. Children shared their ideas of what clouds were made of and many were surprised that they are water in the sky!
Everyone was excited making elephants toothpaste, creating overflowing foam of different colours.
We then went out to the field to experience how air pressure can shoot a water bottle rocket into the sky. Despite the umbrella we all still got a little wet!
Many thanks to Steve for coming in, the children really enjoyed it and we wish you luck in your future teaching career.
