Meet Our Mighty Falcons...

Hello and welcome to the Y5/6 Falcons family! We are very proud of the warm atmosphere we have in class and our new recruits fit right in - we are very pleased to be in the company of such a positive, friendly, upbeat group of children and predict a wonderful year ahead!

All the adults in Falcons work very hard to enable the children to be the very best they can possibly be - both academically and in terms of their wellbeing.  Mrs Bostock's expertise and knowledge is indispensable to us all, and we are joined by Mrs Edmunds this year - a welcome addition with her wealth of skills! We also have Mrs Fairhurst, Mrs Rae, Mrs Hunter and Ms Paradiso contributing to give the children a rounded and interesting curriculum each week.

Good communication and mutual support between home and school is at the heart of our practice in Falcons and valued highly. Parents, your children come first, so please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns, no matter how trivial these may seem - we are here to help and keep everyone as happy as we can!

With warmest wishes,

Miss Kerr

Mary Quant: The Next Generation

The Falcons and Voyagers took to the runway to show off their fabulous designs, based on the creations of Mary Quant! Visit our pages to see more…

The 1960s Revisited!

Our DT Days resulted in a fabulous exposition of designs and creative flair! There was a fantastic atmosphere as everyone worked really hard to meet their deadlines, ready to showcase their designs on the fashion runway!

Golfing Glory!

We have had a brilliant end to our week! An hour of Tri-Golf kept everyone on their toes this afternoon, and taught us some fantastic new skills - some parachutists even dropped by for a quick look! I was, as always, very proud of everyone for their efforts and camaraderie, and thank you to the fantastic PE experts who ran the workshop.

Have a super weekend!

Road to Wimbledon

After some energetic warm ups and a game of Rob the Nest, the children were introduced to the backhand. Sam demonstrated the correct footwork for both forehand and backhand before the rest of the class had a go.  They then split into pairs to practise, before playing a game to execute more accurate shots.

Fund raising!

Thank you very much to one of our Year 5 students who raised £200 for the School Association! Incredibly, she ran a mile a day throughout the month of March. It makes me feel exhausted just thinking about it!
