Chairman's Cup tag rugby

Superb sportsmanship and effort from our tag rugby team at the Chairman's Cup. Well done everyone.

On 22nd May we had another fab visit from Mike Mullen -3x Pro BMX Halfpipe Champion and Former World Master Champion.  Once again, he came in and started the day with an assembly that reminisced about his life and encouraged the children to keep going and never give up; whatever their passion, continue to work hard and -if you fail -  pick yourself up, dust yourself down and have another go!

Throughout the day, each class got to take part in a workshop with Mike.  He taught some children to ride a bike, boosted the confidence of others and encouraged all of them to be daring and step outside their comfort zone.

At the end of the day, he put together a small team of children to take part in a show for the rest of the school and parents.  To the amazement of the children, he even jumped over 7 teachers and parents!!

If the day did anything, then hopefully it inspired children to dust of their bikes and scooters and get outside.

Year 5/6 Cricket Tournament

A huge well done to our Year 5s and 6s who enjoyed a lovely day in the sunshine, playing cricket in Wychwood.

Throughout the day, the children were cheerful, enthusiastic and very well-behaved!

The Greatest End to SATs

To say a huge well done to Year 6 for completing their SATs and a huge thank you to Year 5 for being so understanding, we rewarded ourselves with a cosy afternoon watching our new favourite film, The Greatest Showman. After weeks of singing the soundtrack together, we could finally enjoy the film as a class as well - complete with popcorn, blankets and teddies!

Blue Bot Fun

We had lots of fun programming our Blue Bots today - the children started by designing their own courses (they thoroughly enjoyed incorporating various resources around the classroom, including their mascots from SATs!) they all then had to complete a course designed for them without colliding with another Blue Bot! We finished off our lovely afternoon with a little competition to see who could programme their Blue Bot the most accurately along the course.
