Meet Our Mighty Falcons...

Hello and welcome to the Y5/6 Falcons family! We are very proud of the warm atmosphere we have in class and our new recruits fit right in - we are very pleased to be in the company of such a positive, friendly, upbeat group of children and predict a wonderful year ahead!

All the adults in Falcons work very hard to enable the children to be the very best they can possibly be - both academically and in terms of their wellbeing.  Mrs Bostock's expertise and knowledge is indispensable to us all, and we are joined by Mrs Edmunds this year - a welcome addition with her wealth of skills! We also have Mrs Fairhurst, Mrs Rae and Ms Paradiso contributing to give the children a rounded and interesting curriculum each week.

Good communication and mutual support between home and school is at the heart of our practice in Falcons and valued highly. Parents, your children come first, so please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns, no matter how trivial these may seem - we are here to help and keep everyone as happy as we can!

With warmest wishes,

Mrs Cartwright

IMPS

On Thursday 18th January, Years 5 and 6 went on a trip to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford to learn all about keeping safe. The children learned how to give CPR, use a defibrillator and put someone in the recovery position, so if you have an emergency - you know who to call!

Christingles

Thank you to Mrs Bostock and St John's Church: all of our Year 4, 5 and 6 children made a Christingle in RE the first week after the Christmas holidays. They were able to learn all about this tradition.

Young Voices 2018

A concert of over 6000 children, including us. Amazing atmosphere!

It's Snow Problem

Well, the snow may have stopped us from coming to school for one day, but it couldn't keep us away forever! Just look at the fun we've been having!

Partnership Football Tournament

We were lucky enough to take two teams to the partnership football tournament at Buford Secondary School today.

The standard of play was very high with some fantastic defensive play, saves - and goals being scored!  Several people commented on the skill of our players, who all worked tirelessly to play as a team and represent our school.  Well done - you were all fab and should be very proud of yourselves!
