Meet Our Mighty Falcons...

Hello and welcome to the Y5/6 Falcons family! We are very proud of the warm atmosphere we have in class and our new recruits fit right in - we are very pleased to be in the company of such a positive, friendly, upbeat group of children and predict a wonderful year ahead!

All the adults in Falcons work very hard to enable the children to be the very best they can possibly be - both academically and in terms of their wellbeing.  Mrs Bostock's and Ms Kearvell's expertise and knowledge is indispensable to us all, and we are joined by Mrs Edmunds this year - a welcome addition with her wealth of skills!

Good communication and mutual support between home and school is at the heart of our practice in Falcons and valued highly. Parents, your children come first, so please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns, no matter how trivial these may seem - we are here to help and keep everyone as happy as we can!

With warmest wishes,

Mrs. Dawn El-Masri

Year 5/6 Cricket Tournament

A huge well done to our Year 5s and 6s who enjoyed a lovely day in the sunshine, playing cricket in Wychwood.

Throughout the day, the children were cheerful, enthusiastic and very well-behaved!

The Greatest End to SATs

To say a huge well done to Year 6 for completing their SATs and a huge thank you to Year 5 for being so understanding, we rewarded ourselves with a cosy afternoon watching our new favourite film, The Greatest Showman. After weeks of singing the soundtrack together, we could finally enjoy the film as a class as well - complete with popcorn, blankets and teddies!

Blue Bot Fun

We had lots of fun programming our Blue Bots today - the children started by designing their own courses (they thoroughly enjoyed incorporating various resources around the classroom, including their mascots from SATs!) they all then had to complete a course designed for them without colliding with another Blue Bot! We finished off our lovely afternoon with a little competition to see who could programme their Blue Bot the most accurately along the course.

Baby donkey visit!

First it was ponies and now it’s donkeys! We had a lovely visit this afternoon from two donkeys, including the cutest baby one! The girls told us all about them as well as their numerous other animals. Thank you so much for bringing them in Barber family!
