Just had our lunch stop (thank you Chris and Fiss!) and now continuing our journey!

Rainforest Presentation

On Thursday, we were very lucky to have a special guest come into school. Freya’s granny, Hilda, came in and told us all about her experiences in different tropical rainforests. We loved hearing about her adventures, seeing some fantastic pictures and watching funny videos of orang-utans and elephants. Thank you very much for sharing your stories and knowledge with us, Hilda!

Y5 Enrichment Day at Burford

The children had a lot of fun, especially meeting the animals! Well done Harriet for winning your group prize, and well done everyone for behaving so well and joining in.

Swimming Gala

We had a good turnout for the annual swimming gala - despite it being on an Inset Day!

The children that came performed brilliantly - with some having to swim up a year group, and others being asked to swim even though they'd only come to watch!!  We managed to fill all races and had many children placed in the top 3.

Thanks to all the children that came along - and to all of the parents that came to support.

Rainforest Day

On Thursday, Tutu and Curie class joined forces to carry out three different rainforest-based activities: they were sent on a (Portuguese!) scavenger hunt, painted huge leaves and made little critters out of various fruits and vegetables.

We loved the children's enthusiasm and they worked hard, while having fun, on their activities. I think all also found a new-found love for Biscoff!

Thank you very much to Sebastian’s mum, Anna, for coming in and helping us out.
