Meet Our Mighty Falcons...

Hello and welcome to the Y5/6 Falcons family! We are very proud of the warm atmosphere we have in class and our new recruits fit right in - we are very pleased to be in the company of such a positive, friendly, upbeat group of children and predict a wonderful year ahead!

All the adults in Falcons work very hard to enable the children to be the very best they can possibly be - both academically and in terms of their wellbeing.  Mrs Bostock's expertise and knowledge is indispensable to us all, and we are joined by Mrs Edmunds this year - a welcome addition with her wealth of skills! We also have Mrs Fairhurst, Mrs Rae, Mrs Hunter and Ms Paradiso contributing to give the children a rounded and interesting curriculum each week.

Good communication and mutual support between home and school is at the heart of our practice in Falcons and valued highly. Parents, your children come first, so please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns, no matter how trivial these may seem - we are here to help and keep everyone as happy as we can!

With warmest wishes,

Miss Kerr

Stand Up To Cancer

A huge well done to Cerys and her mum for organising a cake sale on Friday to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. We had an amazing selection of delicious cakes on offer (thank you very much children and parents) and well done to the winners and runners up of the competition. We will let you know how much was raised as soon as we know.

More Easter School!

Our final day consisted of some descriptive writing, team-building, presenting and even fractions work to share out our lunch fairly. All topped off with an Easter egg hunt of course!

Easter School

The children have had a great start to Easter school - we've designed hotel resorts, worked on percentages, created adverts and done some cooking already!

Tutu Sharing Assembly

Well done to all of the children in Tutu class on a lovely sharing assembly this morning and thank you parents for your enthusiasm during our workshop. A special thank you to Freya for the fabulous GoPro video she made!

Year 5 Music Concert

After spending a whole day rehearsing, some of our lovely Year 5 children returned for the evening performance with our partnership schools. They sang their little hearts out and whacked out some impressive dance moves!

Well done to all children involved and especially to Owen, Eira and Caitlin for performing 'Uptown Funk' on their clarinets.
