Chicks!

5th July

Thank you to Milan's grandad for bringing in their chicks to show.  Thank you to Milan for showing us so sensibly how to hold them.

Four countries of the UK

2nd July

In geography we have been learning about the four nations that make up the United Kingdom. Foundation have worked in groups to create posters whilst Year 1 have been creating fact sheets.  In our last session children worked together in groups to promote their country and encourage tourists to visit. They then presented to the rest of the class.

Handa's Suprise

13 June

Foundation have been learning and writing their own versions of Handa's Surprise. We have been comparing Africa and UK. As part of this children tried fruits grown in UK and fruits grown in Africa. We than made bar graphs to show which was our favourite fruit from each environment. We talked about why the different fruits grew in different climates.

Please come into our classroom to see children's work displayed on our wall.

Buccaneers trip to Spain

23 May

A big thank you to Mrs Sinclair for arranging to fly the whole class to Spain! Children took part in a flight simulation, visited the beach, went in the pool, tried some Spanish foods, had ice creams and were still home in time for the end of the day! A great day out without leaving the classroom was had by all.

Summer Term

We have been very busy in Buccaneers this term, I have not had time to put photos up of all the fantastic things the children have been doing, so here we go...
