Throughout the year we have a range of events which involve all our children. School plays, book events, sports days, art events... look here to see what we have been up to.

Remembrance Day

Our older children performed poems and diary entries they had written in honour of Remembrance Day, before we all gathered at the war memorial for the two minutes' silence. Thank you as always to Mrs Bostock, who helped the children prepare their work and who, with her husband Mr Bostock, decorated the war memorial.

We cannot say thank you enough to the five parents, four volunteers from the RAF and three children who gave up most of their weekend to tidy and clear our garden area. The area has been sadly neglected for the last couple of years but now it is ready to go, with a gardening club planned for February. Thank you so much to Mr and Mrs Sutherland, Mrs Stevens, Mrs Graham, Mrs Leeming and the whole team. If you haven't yet had a look at what they have done, please do so.

Harvest Festival

Thank you to everyone who supported our Harvest Festival but especially Mrs Bostock, who worked with most of the classes to prepare them. It was lovely to celebrate the harvest in the ancient church in our village.

What a silly way to the end the term: real-life Quidditch (from Harry Potter), with plastic broomsticks, hoops, the Golden Snitch and all. Lots of magical fun was had by all.

Race for Life

Wow, what fantastic children we have at our school! The School Council planned and organised our Race for life in aid of cancer research and everybody joined in. What was so amazing was to see all our different ages of children supporting each other and having fun together. At the time of writing we do not have the total raised but it looks like it will be a large amount. Well done everyone, and especially Mrs Mills and the School Council.
