Throughout the year we have a range of events which involve all our children. School plays, book events, sports days, art events... look here to see what we have been up to.

Fantastic Book Day!

We celebrated World Book Day today and what a fabulous day it was!  We have students on a residential Thursday and Friday and wanted everyone to participate which is why we chose today to dress up verse Thursday.  Well done everyone!  The costumes were brilliant and the children all had a lovely day!  We have lots of fun "reading and writing" activities continuing this week...

Gymnastics Display

On 7th February the whole school was treated to a display of the work our Gymnastics Club has been doing. The skill and determination of the girls in the club is astonishing! Huge thanks to Felicity Gidlow for leading the club as a volunteer, and I am looking forward to seeing our children taking part in the upcoming Carterton gymnastics competition.

School closed Friday 1st February

Brize Norton School is closed today, Friday 1st February. It has not been an easy decision to make but having been in touch with the staff, not enough can get in safely to enable us to care for the children. All other local schools which I know about are closed too. I apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.

Christmas Dinner Day

Christmas dinner at Brize Norton is always quite an event. It's our chance to eat together as a community of children, staff, governors, School Association and volunteers. It was lovely to have so many people there and also to welcome a certain red-suited gentleman in the afternoon.

We held our Act of Remembrance in the church and at the war memorial on Friday 9th November. The children in Key Stage 2 had a short service in the church at which many of them read out their thoughts on the First World War, then we all met at the war memorial for the two minute silence and to put a poppy cross in the ground. The children behaved impeccably, showing real respect for the occasion, and what was lovely is that the cars also stopped during our two-minute silence. Thank you if you are reading this!
