Throughout the year we have a range of events which involve all our children. School plays, book events, sports days, art events... look here to see what we have been up to.

Triumph at the Gymnastics!

Congratulations to the entire team who went to the gymnastics competition at Carterton Community College. We took 29 children, many more than most schools, and all of them performed with confidence and style. Some of the moves were really difficult! Special congratulations go to our Key Stage 1 A team, who won their age-group competition and will be going through to the county finals in May, and to Emilia Marshman and Jessica Carter who won individual medals. Thank you very much indeed to Felicity Gidlow and her assistant Suzy Marshman for coaching the children so well.

Book Swap

Mrs Mills organised our first ever book cafe and swap as part of our Book Week. Children brought in unwanted books from home, took a new book home and enjoyed sharing books over a drink and a biscuit. Thanks to families' generosity there were lots of books left over to enhance our class book corners! Thank you to Mrs Mills and to all the families who brought books in!

Fantastic Book Day!

We celebrated World Book Day today and what a fabulous day it was!  We have students on a residential Thursday and Friday and wanted everyone to participate which is why we chose today to dress up verse Thursday.  Well done everyone!  The costumes were brilliant and the children all had a lovely day!  We have lots of fun "reading and writing" activities continuing this week...

Gymnastics Display

On 7th February the whole school was treated to a display of the work our Gymnastics Club has been doing. The skill and determination of the girls in the club is astonishing! Huge thanks to Felicity Gidlow for leading the club as a volunteer, and I am looking forward to seeing our children taking part in the upcoming Carterton gymnastics competition.

School closed Friday 1st February

Brize Norton School is closed today, Friday 1st February. It has not been an easy decision to make but having been in touch with the staff, not enough can get in safely to enable us to care for the children. All other local schools which I know about are closed too. I apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.
