Throughout the year we have a range of events which involve all our children. School plays, book events, sports days, art events... look here to see what we have been up to.

Hello Brize

Please look at this video to see a special message from our staff to all Brize Norton children and families.

Happy Birthday!

Since school has been closed, the following children have celebrated their birthdays: Finlay Hunter, Darcey Warburton, Harry King, Stella Heffer, Amelia Gidlow, Ophelia White and Olivia Mulcahy. We send our belated wishes to you all!

This week, Eliza Cooper and Mylo Ridler will also be celebrating theirs. From all the staff and children at Brize Norton, we hope you both have a lovely day! (Because we can't sing to you, we have attached a link for the 'happy birthday song' instead. Enjoy!)

Virtual Book Fair

Carole Stevens is running a virtual book fair to raise money for the school and get books to children at home at a discounted rate. Please look at this flyer.

Computing

While children are at home, Computing is one subject they can be working on - all you need is an electronic device and an internet connection. In school, the children would all have been studying computer programming this term, using the attached lesson plans, which are easy to follow if you are not a specialist. Take your pick of whichever unit/s suit your child, and give it a go! Y1/2 were going to use Daisy the Dinosaur, which is a free app available for Apple devices or Android. Everyone else was going to work on Scratch programming. Scratch is an online programming environment here https://scratch.mit.edu, which should work on any device, or alternatively you can download Pyonkee, a free app which is a copy of Scratch for the iPad.
