On Wednesday (Halloween!) Year 6 children had a brilliant time learning how to use a microscope! They looked at a variety of everyday objects with the naked eye, a hand glass and finally a microscope. From a 2p coin to a wasp's sting. They were fascinated by the details they could see and their descriptive vocabulary became increasingly evident. It was an absolute delight to watch their focus and enthusiasm!
They will now have the opportunity to use their investigations to inspire a narrative text about becoming ant-sized themselves and discovering a whole new world!
