You can tell it's been a busy half term; this is the first and last Tutu Forest School post and it's taken an age to find all the photos and sort them out!
It's always good to have Year 5 and 6 out to Forest School and witnessing the different learning behaviours. Some children just get stuck in; making mud pies, building dens and searching for pond life - whereas others need a little more guidance to know what to do. However, watching each individual and their learning journey is always lovely. By the final weeks, every child came out to Forest School, knowing what it was that they wanted to do and eager to get on. Sometimes all it took was showing them an idea, and they were able to run with it, be creative and take it to the next level.
As you look through the pictures, you can see just how much we have managed to do - from making fire and powering lights with the biolite stove to melting wax to make candles, working together to build dens and using tools to create natural art.
It's been a delight to have this group out. For those moving on, I wish you all the best on the next leg of your journey...Year 5's, I'll see you next year! Have a great summer!!
