We had a really great start to Science Week! The first activity that the children did was try to build the most stable bridge using 5 pieces of paper and 20cm of sellotape. We looked at bridges like the Ironbridge and tried to use these structures to help us. Once we had built the bridges we tried to test them out to see if they were strong enough. (Thank you to Mrs Johnson for letting us borrow her meerkat). We then went outside onto the field to see the different creatures that could be living under our feet everyday. We used classification keys to identify the creatures and plants that we found.

The children really enjoyed the activities today and can't wait to see what it's store next week!
