Welcome to Voyager Class!

This is the Year 5 and 6 Class, though in the mornings it is split - the Year 6 children become Falcons and are taught separately, while the Year 5s are joined by some children from Year 4. In the mornings, Years 4 and 5 are taught by Mrs Rae and Miss Kerr (teachers) and by Miss Kearvell, Mrs Deegen and Mrs Williams (teaching assistants) while Year 6 are taught by Miss Burn (teacher) and by Mrs Bostock and Mrs Deegan (teaching assistants. In the afternoon, Year 5 and 6 are taught by Miss Kerr and Miss Burn.

It has been a pleasure to welcome your child to Voyager Class; they have come back after the summer break, ready and eager to learn.  We are very much looking forward to spending the rest of the year with them.

To help you to support your child, we feel it is important that you understand our routine; every morning, we dedicate our time to Spelling, Maths and Literacy, and our afternoon timetable is currently as follows:

Monday - Thursday and Monday afternoons will vary, depending on the weather going into the winter months. Subjects will either be Science or Topic; or PE and PSHE

Tuesday - Music/Computing and RE (Islam/Muhammad)

Wednesday - Swimming (for Y6) and Dance (for Year 5), followed by Art

Thursday - See Monday

Friday - French and DT

If you have any questions and need to talk to us at any point, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best wishes from the Voyager Class Team

Lots of fun kayaking and raft building, despite the rain! The children have settled into their rooms and are looking forward to lots more fun in the next few days.

Multi skills at Cokethorpe

Our team of Year 3 and 4 children had great fun and took part lots of different activities, including target throwing, relay racing, speed bouncing and keeping a tennis ball up - Ashley managed an amazing 240! Well done to everyone, and thank you to Cokethorpe School for the pizza and ice cream afterwards.
