Throughout the year we have a range of events which involve all our children. School plays, book events, sports days, art events... look here to see what we have been up to.

Mrs Fairhurst's trip to Japan

Over October half term, Mrs Fairhurst was lucky enough to join a headteachers' tour of Japan, funded by the Japan Foundation as part of their support for schools teaching Japanese language. She visited two schools, one in Tokyo and one in Kyoto, where she learned that Japanese children are very similar to British ones, for all that they clean their own classrooms and serve dinner to each other. One school even had a sixth-floor swimming pool with lowerable floor! Mrs Fairhurst also saw the sights of both cities, including travelling on the famous Bullet Train. Marvellous!

Harvest Festival

"It's another Harvest Festival, when we bring our fruit and vegetables!" as the song goes. Thank you very much to Rev James Maddern and everyone at St Britius' Church for making us feel so welcome when we held our Harvest Festival there. We sang songs, said prayers and readings we had written and donated food for The Porch, the shelter for homeless people in Oxford.

Thank you to Dr Holmes

Dr Phil Holmes has coded, edited and maintained the Brize Norton Primary School website since 2003, without charge to the school. This has been an extremely generous gift and we would like to acknowledge it publicly on the new site.

Welcome to our new website!

We hope you enjoy looking around our new website. Please let us know if there is anything you would like to see on here which is not here yet, and please keep coming back for updates. The aim is that we will post everything important which happens in our school!d

Thank you to Richard Fairhurst, who has designed the new site for us.

Sports Day

Sports Day was great fun. The children took part in races and a range of different activities including long jump and javelin. Congratulations to the Dragons, our winning house. The day ended with the thundering of the parents' races and the traditional egg-throwing between Year 6 children and their parents.
