This is the timetable for children in Key Stages 1 and 2. In the Early Years Foundation Stage, the times of the beginnings and ends of sessions are the same, but lessons are much more flexible.

8.40: Doors open. Children go to their classrooms, put their things away and settle down for the register. 

8.50: Register

9.00: Phonics or spelling

9.20: English

10.20: Assembly 

10.35: Break time

10.50: Snack and story in the classroom. Children enjoy a healthy snack while the teacher reads to them.

11.00: Mathematics

12.00: Lunch time begins. Children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 go to the hall to eat where a choice of hot meals, cooked on the premises, is offered, or children can bring a packed lunch. Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 go to play outside

12.30 (approx.): When they have finished eating, children in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 go out to play. Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 come in to eat, then play outside again once they have finished.

1.10: Afternoon lessons begin. Depending on the timetable, there will be one, two or three lessons in the afternoon. At some points during the year the children will go swimming or to Forest School. 

3.15: Home time. Parents gather on the playground to meet their children. Teachers wait until they see the parent before allowing the child to leave. See you tomorrow!

On Fridays, assembly is in the afternoon (2.50pm) in order to celebrate the children's achievements that week.
