We are proud that our school dinners are cooked from scratch on the premises, by Sandra Harris, our wonderful cook.
The School Council came up with lots of ideas, which were put together with our cook's thoughts before this menu was written. It is adapted regularly, for variety and after listening to the children's thoughts.
As well as the regular dinner, we also have events during the year when a special menu is produced. By far the most popular is Christmas dinner, when children share their food with staff and adults who volunteer in the school.
Children in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage One receive their school meals free, as do children whose parents are in receipt of benefits. (If you are entitled to benefits, you need to register for your children's free meals in the office; this will be done simply and confidentially.)
If your child is in Key Stage Two, a school dinner costs £2.10. Children are asked each morning whether they are having a school dinner and, if so, what they would like to eat. The money owed is then added to the parent's account.
There are two ways to pay. You can pay online by visiting the School Money website. You will need a password which parents have been sent by text - if you have lost it, please contact the office. Alternatively, you can pay in a range of local shops which have Paypoint. The school office can give you a bar code which you can use in shops such as Carterton Co-op and Morrisons. Please get in touch if you have any difficulties.
